Description : Brazilian Rosewood is very similar in color and grain pattern to Brazilian Cherry, only there is less color variation and it is generally a lighter red. It will darken from a rose color when first milled to a reddish-brown. Because of the uniform color, Brazilian Rosewood gives a nice, solid look to your floor.
Janka Hardness : 3000 (230% harder than Red Oak)
Workability : Like the other species with high density, Brazilian Rosewood is moderately easy to work with, but can be taxing on machines. Nail down.
Durability : Especially resistant to insect attack, also to rot/decay, fungi, fire, warping, bending or twisting, and moisture.
