Description:   Similar in nature to domestic oak but 13% harder, Brazilian Oak ranges from tan to medium brown in color (some describe it as "wheat") and has a medium graining pattern. 

Janka Hardness :  1460

Workability :  Takes stain easily.  Glue or nail down.  Moderately easy to work with when using hand or power tools. 

Durability:  Resistant to fungi, decay/rot, marring/dents, and insects.
